Rampal's inauguration on December 16 - Electricity definition 2022 - Types of Electricity

Own reporter:

Rampal's coal-fired power plant is finally coming into production. Official inauguration on 16th December. Experimental production will start before this.
Engineer Kazi Absar Uddin, Managing Director, Bangladesh India Friendship Power Company Limited (BIFPCL), shared this information with Energy Bangla.

"We are ready for power generation," he told Energy Bangla. Coal imports are almost final. Hopefully, experimental power generation will take place in October or early November.
Absar Uddin said the first unit of the Rampal power project will be launched in December this year in line with the celebration of the Golden Jubilee on the Victory Day of Bangladesh. The second unit is also expected to be implemented in time. [uses of electricity]

Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited (BHEL) and BIFPCL are confident of completing the work of the power plant within the stipulated time.
A recent Bangladesh-India secretary-level virtual meeting also decided to launch the center in December.
Tender evaluation is underway for supply of coal to the power plant. Work will be given in quick time.

Regarding the import of coal from India, Absar Uddin said that this coal will be used to make the floor of the warehouse. International standard floors are made of coal. The contractor company Vel is importing this coal. Not BIFPCL.

Four warehouses are being set up at Rampal. Coal will be brought and kept in this warehouse. The floor of this warehouse with heat control is specially made. And it is done with coal. Rampal will need 45,000 tonnes of coal to floor four warehouses. They will bring this coal in phases. Bring it only when needed.

He said coal would be imported from Indonesia, Australia or South Africa for power generation. International tenders have already been called for that. That process will end quickly. Coal will never be imported from India as fuel for this power plant.

A consignment of 3,600 tonnes of coal will arrive in Bangladesh from Netaji Subhash Dock (NSD) at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Port in Kolkata, NTPC quoted Indian news agency PTI as saying. AK Mehra, Deputy Chairman, Kolkata Port, said that the coal had reached Kolkata Port from Dhanbad for export to Rampal in Bagerhat. [importance of electricity]

The coal will be sent to Mongla port in the next two to three days. Each barge has 3,600 tons of coal.
Exim Bank of India has lent 1.8 billion for the construction of the 200 million power plant. As a contractor, Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) is constructing the center.
NTPC of India and PDB of Bangladesh are jointly setting up this 1,300 MW coal-fired power plant at Rampal in Bagerhat.
India is sending imported coal to Bangladesh for a thermal power plant under construction at Rampal in Bagerhat.

Meanwhile, 3,600 tonnes of coal shipped from Dhanbad in India's Jharkhand have been unloaded at the Kolkata port in West Bengal. In the next two to three days, it will be sent to the port of Mongla by coal cargo.
