Analysts say that in developed and developing countries, production capacity is always kept a little surplus. Because at any time the power plant can become a malfunction. However, our country has more surplus electricity than demand. This investment of thousands of crores of rupees is a financial loss for him if he stays idle. Analysts believe that this has happened because the production transmission and distribution lines have not been built in line with the demand.
Diversification of fuels: The use of diversified fuels in power generation is now being ensured. This policy is also followed in other countries of the world. Because the price of different types of fuel fluctuates in the world market. At one time most of the power plants in our country were fueled by natural gas. Emphasis is now being placed on gas as well as coal, furnace oil, nuclear energy, diesel, water, solar energy, wind, etc. Special consideration has been given to environmentally friendly fuels in future power generation. For this, more importance is being given to solar or solar, wind and water.
Master Plan: Vision-2030 is highlighted in the power sector master plan. It said the country's main internal energy source must be created and by 2030, the country's own management will have to meet 50 percent of the energy demand, of which 25 percent will be coal, 20 percent natural gas, and the remaining 5 percent hydro and renewable energy.
At present, in 2021, the use of natural gas in power generation is 52 percent, furnace oil 26 percent, diesel 6 percent, coal 8 percent, water 1.1 percent, grid solar 0.4 percent, electricity imports 5.5 percent. Later, Vision 2030 has been changed. Aiming at environmental pollution and SDGs, the government has decided to reduce the use of coal in the master plan.
